We are very pleased to announce our Curriculum & Instruction Department has been able to secure Ms. Scarlett Lewis as our fall Public Education Lecture Series speaker.  Ms. Lewis is the founder of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, which she created after tragically losing her six-year-old son Jesse in the Sandy Hook school massacre.

The lecture/discussion will occur on the evening of Monday, November 12 at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences building, (plenty of parking on-site). There will be a reception from 4:45 – 5:30, and Ms. Lewis will begin at 5:40 pm. Her talk will center on how people become connected, resilient and empowered when they Choose Love, and she will highlight the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Enrichment Program, which is the free PreK – 12th grade social emotional learning curriculum that teaches educators and their students how to choose love in any circumstance. Please mark your calendars now, share the attached flyer with anyone you feel may be interested, and plan to attend what promises to be a powerful event.

We look forward to seeing you there!
